Site Manager – Groundworks
Location: Carlisle
Start Date: 21st September 2026
Duration: 4–5 Weeks
Rate: £300 per day
We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager with a strong groundworks/civils background to oversee a project in Carlisle.
The position is due to start on 21st September and will run for approximately 4–5 weeks.
Responsibilities
  • Managing day-to-day site operations and groundworks activities
  • Coordinating subcontractors and site operatives
  • Ensuring works are completed safely, on time and to the required standard
  • Monitoring progress against the programme
  • Conducting site inductions and toolbox talks
  • Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed
  • Liaising with contractors, clients and other site personnel
  • Maintaining site records and completing relevant paperwork
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager
  • Strong groundworks/civils background
  • Valid SMSTS
  • Valid First Aid
  • CSCS card
  • Good knowledge of health & safety procedures
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Available to start 21st September
Rate: £300 per day
