The Role


Our client is looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead the on-site delivery of new build and refurrbishment projects in the Manchester region. You'll take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, to budget, and to a high-quality standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all on-site construction activities, coordinating subcontractors, trades, and deliveries to keep the project on programme
  • Take ownership of health & safety on site, ensuring full compliance with CDM 2015 and acting as (or supporting) the Principal Contractor role
  • Produce and manage the Construction Phase Plan, RAMS sign-off, and daily site records
  • Monitor build quality, snagging, and defect resolution to maintain the company's reputation for craftsmanship
  • Liaise closely with the Project/Contracts Manager, client representatives, and design team throughout the build
  • Manage site inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing team welfare and safety briefings
  • Support programme and cost control alongside the commercial team

About You

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within contractor construction
  • SMSTS and CSCS (Black/Gold card) essential
  • First Aid at Work qualification
  • Strong working knowledge of CDM 2015 and current H&S legislation
  • Excellent communication and subcontractor management skills
  • A hands-on, quality-focused approach with a track record of delivering projects safely, on time and within budget
