Site Supervisor - Civil Engineering & Remediation
Up to £45,000 per annum

We are recruiting an experienced Site Supervisor to support the delivery of civil engineering, remediation, earthworks and enabling works projects across Scotland.
The successful candidate will supervise daily site activities, coordinate operatives and subcontractors, maintain site records and ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
The Role
Responsibilities will include:
- Supervising direct labour, subcontractors and daily site activities.
- Supporting the Site Manager and Project Manager with project delivery.
- Coordinating labour, plant, materials and site resources.
- Delivering site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
- Ensuring work is completed safely and in accordance with RAMS.
- Monitoring productivity, quality and progress against the programme.
- Checking completed works against drawings and specifications.
- Maintaining accurate site diaries, timesheets, allocation sheets and inspection records.
- Reporting progress, delays, defects and site issues to management.
- Supporting permits, inspections and health and safety documentation.
- Ensuring operatives and subcontractors follow site procedures.
- Coordinating deliveries and maintaining safe, organised working areas.
- Assisting with snagging, completion and project handover.
Required Experience
Applicants should have previous supervisory experience within one or more of the following areas:
- Civil engineering
- Remediation or contaminated land
- Earthworks and groundworks
- Ground engineering
- Demolition and enabling works
- Infrastructure or utilities
- Environmental construction
Candidates should also have:
- Experience supervising site operatives and subcontractors.
- Strong knowledge of construction health and safety requirements.
- The ability to read drawings, specifications and RAMS.
- Good communication, organisation and record-keeping skills.
- A practical and proactive approach to solving site issues.
- A full UK driving licence.
- The ability to travel between project locations when required.
A valid SSSTS or SMSTS and CSCS card are required. First Aid, Temporary Works or environmental qualifications would be advantageous.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join an established specialist contractor delivering technically challenging projects across the UK.
The initial focus will be on projects in Scotland, with potential opportunities to support future work across Yorkshire and the Midlands.
