Social Worker- Children & Families Assessment Team

4‑Day Working Week * Temporary Contract * Immediate Start * £38p/h

Connect2Kent are seeking an experienced Locum Children's Social Worker to join the Children's Social Work Team in Ashford on a temporary basis. You'll be completing Children & Families assessments and supporting children and families at key points of need.

This is a great opportunity for a confident practitioner who wants flexibility, balance, and the chance to make a real impact - all within a supportive, well‑structured team.

You'll carry out C&F assessments for children and families referred into the service, ensuring timely, analytical and child‑centred practice.

• Completing high‑quality C&F assessments - Clear, evidence‑based assessments that inform robust plans.

• Managing a varied caseload - CIN, CP and early safeguarding work depending on need.

• Multi‑agency collaboration - Working closely with schools, health, police, carers and families.

• Maintaining accurate records - Timely, clear case notes using agreed systems.

• Working confidently within legislation - Ensuring practice aligns with statutory guidance and KCC expectations.

• Qualified Social Worker (SWE registered)

• Experience in Children & Families, Assessment, CIN or CP

• Someone confident, analytical and able to work at pace

• A team player who can slot into a busy service quickly
