Soft Services Facilities Manager – Peterborough – £34-40k
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Soft Services Facilities Manager to join a well-established and growing organisation in Peterborough. This is an exciting role for a driven facilities professional who enjoys creating high standards, leading teams and improving service delivery within a fast-paced environment. You will play a key part in ensuring a safe, efficient and welcoming workplace by managing essential support services and driving continuous improvement.
Soft Services Facilities Manager’s Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the day-to-day delivery of soft facilities services including cleaning, waste management, security, catering, and workplace services
• Lead, motivate, and develop onsite teams to deliver excellent service standards and a positive customer experience
• Manage external contractors and suppliers, ensuring service level agreements, KPIs and compliance requirements are consistently achieved
• Carry out regular audits, inspections, and performance reviews to maintain high operational standards
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and act as the main point of contact for facilities-related matters
• Monitor budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure all services meet health & safety, environmental and company compliance standards
• Manage service issues effectively, providing timely solutions and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
Skills & Experience Required as a Soft Services Facilities Manager:
• Proven experience within soft services facilities management or a similar operational role
• Strong knowledge of managing cleaning, security, waste, catering and contractor services
• Experience managing teams, suppliers and service contracts within a busy environment
• Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to analyse performance, identify improvements and implement effective solutions
• Strong understanding of health & safety procedures and compliance requirements
• Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and controlling costs
• IOSH, NEBOSH, BIFM/IWFM, or other relevant facilities qualifications would be advantageous
• Full UK driving licence
