Supply Desk is seeking a committed Sports Coach to join a specialist academy in the Salisbury area from September 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a supportive educational setting, delivering both classroom support and practical PE sessions to students with additional needs.
The role will involve supporting students across a range of subjects, alongside leading and assisting in physical education activities. You will play a key part in helping students develop confidence, physical skills, and positive wellbeing habits.
This is a long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities:- Provide classroom support across a range of subjects, assisting students with additional learning needs.
- Plan and deliver, or support, engaging PE lessons and physical activities.
- Encourage participation in sports and promote physical health and well-being.
- Build positive relationships with students to support their confidence and development.
- Work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored support and interventions.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment at all times.
- Experience working as a Sports Coach, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role.
- Confidence supporting students with additional needs (SEN experience desirable).
- Passion for sport, health, and supporting young people’s development.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
