Salary: £85 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Hours: 08:30 – 15:30

Supply Desk is seeking a committed Sports Coach to join a specialist academy in the Salisbury area from September 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a supportive educational setting, delivering both classroom support and practical PE sessions to students with additional needs.

The role will involve supporting students across a range of subjects, alongside leading and assisting in physical education activities. You will play a key part in helping students develop confidence, physical skills, and positive wellbeing habits.

This is a long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right individual.

This specialist academy provides a structured and nurturing environment for students who require additional support with their learning. The school focuses on personalised education, promoting independence, resilience, and emotional well-being. • Provide classroom support across a range of subjects, assisting students with additional learning needs.
• Plan and deliver, or support, engaging PE lessons and physical activities.
• Encourage participation in sports and promote physical health and well-being.
• Build positive relationships with students to support their confidence and development.
• Work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored support and interventions.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment at all times.

• Experience working as a Sports Coach, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role.
• Confidence supporting students with additional needs (SEN experience desirable).
• Passion for sport, health, and supporting young people’s development.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
