Hours: 38 hours per week
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday - 8am to 4.15pm, Friday - 8am to 3.30pm
We are currently recruiting for a Steel Stores Person to join an established manufacturing business based in the Dudley area.
This is a hands-on stores role within a busy industrial environment, working with steel and other materials to support day-to-day production operations.
The Role:
As a Steel Stores Person, your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving, checking and storing steel and other materials
- Loading and unloading materials safely
- Moving steel around the site using a forklift and overhead crane
- Preparing materials for production
- Keeping the stores and yard organised and tidy
- Completing basic stock and stores records
- Using a computer for basic stock and administrative tasks
- Following company health and safety procedures
- Supporting the wider production team when required
We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical and comfortable working in a busy industrial environment.
Essential requirements:
- Valid forklift licence
- Valid overhead crane licence
- Previous experience working in a steel, manufacturing, engineering or industrial stores environment
- Basic computer skills
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable and safety-conscious approach to work
- Physically capable of working in a hands-on environment
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:15pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm
- 38 hours per week
Hourly Rate: £13ph
