Storeman – Overhead Crane Operative

Location: Middlesbrough
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour basic
Overtime: Paid at 1.3x and 1.6x
Position: Ongoing / Long-term

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Storeman to join an established engineering company based in Middlesbrough. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a stable, ongoing position within a busy engineering environment.

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working in an engineering or manufacturing stores environment and must hold a valid overhead crane licence/certificate.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking and storing incoming materials and equipment

• Loading and unloading deliveries

• Operating an overhead crane safely and efficiently

• Moving heavy materials around the workshop and stores

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Storeman / Stores Operative, preferably within an engineering or manufacturing environment

• Valid overhead crane licence/certificate

• Experience handling heavy materials

• Good understanding of workplace health & safety
