We are seeking a reliable and organised Stores Technician to join a small, close-knit team supporting a busy manufacturing operation. This role differs from a traditional warehouse position, with a strong focus on material control, issuing production materials, and preparing parts for dispatch.

  • Liaise with production and logistics teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Follow company procedures relating to quality, inventory control, and health and safety.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
  • Experience handling goods inwards, stock control, material issuing, or dispatch activities.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a small team.
  • Comfortable using computer systems and basic Microsoft Office applications.
  • Reliable, proactive, and willing to learn new processes.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience using SAP or another ERP/MRP system.
  • Previous experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience issuing materials to production.
  • Experience packing products for dispatch.
  • Forklift, stacker truck, or other material handling equipment licences.

Key Competencies

  • Reliability and accountability
  • Attention to detail
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Good communication skills
  • Organisation and time management
  • Accuracy and data integrity
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Health and safety awareness
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is dependable, hands-on, and takes pride in their work. The successful candidate will thrive in a small team environment, supporting the smooth flow of materials through the manufacturing process. While SAP experience would be beneficial, attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn are the most important qualities for this role. You will play a key role in ensuring materials are available to production and customer orders are packed and dispatched accurately and on time.
