Our client is an established and growing residential developer with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality homes and sustainable communities across Northern Ireland. With an expanding portfolio of residential developments, they are seeking an experienced Chartered Structural Engineer to provide technical leadership and support the successful delivery of projects from planning through to construction.
Your new role:
This is a senior technical position where you will be responsible for the design, development and delivery of structural solutions for residential developments. You will play a key role in producing structural drawings and calculations, while coordinating infrastructure requirements with utility providers and statutory bodies to ensure projects progress smoothly through planning, design and construction stages.
Key Responsibilities
- * Producing structural designs, calculations and detailed drawings for residential developments.
- * Leading the structural design process across multiple projects from concept through to construction.
- * Preparing and coordinating structural documentation in line with project requirements and relevant standards.
- * Coordinating with NIE, NI Water, telecom providers and other utility companies regarding infrastructure requirements.
- * Supporting planning applications and infrastructure-related submissions.
- * Liaising with architects, contractors, local authorities, utility providers and other project stakeholders.
- * Identifying and resolving technical and infrastructure challenges throughout the development process.
- * Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and design team members.
- * Ensuring all structural designs and drawings comply with relevant regulations, design standards and industry best practice.
- * Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, cost-effective and buildable engineering solutions.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Chartered Engineer status (MIStructE or MICE).
- Strong UK background in residential developments and housing projects.
- Proven experience checking, approving and signing off structural designs.Experience coordinating with NIE, utility companies and statutory authorities.
- Excellent understanding of infrastructure, drainage and development constraints.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively within a development environment.
- Full UK driving licence.
