  • Develop structural designs for data centre buildings and associated infrastructure.

  • Produce and review structural calculations, drawings, specifications and technical documentation.

  • Design and assess reinforced concrete, steel and other structural systems.

  • Contribute to concept, schematic, detailed and construction-stage design activities.

  • Coordinate structural solutions with architectural, civil, MEP and specialist engineering disciplines.

  • Work closely with contractors, fabricators and site teams to resolve technical and construction issues.

  • Review structural designs, calculations and technical submissions from third parties.

  • Support technical meetings with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.

  • Ensure designs comply with applicable regulations, Eurocodes and project-specific standards.

  • Consider constructability, programme, cost and quality throughout the design process.

  • Undertake site inspections and provide technical support during construction where required.

  • Maintain high standards of technical quality, health and safety and engineering best practice.

Requirements

  • Ideally a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline - dependant on experience.

  • 3+ years professional experience in structural engineering within building or infrastructure projects.

  • Experience with reinforced concrete and steel structures.

  • Strong understanding of Eurocodes and structural design principles.

  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Experience with structural engineering software and CAD/BIM platforms.

  • Good understanding of construction methods and practical buildability considerations.

This role typically operates on a rotational basis for non-local candidates - and successful applicants will have their travel costs covered and be provided with a single-occupancy apartment with all utilities included during their time away.
