An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Supply Chain professional to join a well-established business in Hartlepool. This role would suit someone with 1-2 years' experience within supply chain, procurement, logistics, stock control, commercial administration, or a related field who is looking to develop their career within a fast-paced logistics environment.

Following successful completion of probation, the company will provide fully funded professional study support, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in supply chain and procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor stock positions and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Complete stock reconciliations across multiple locations.
• Coordinate fuel and product supply from terminals and refineries to depots and customers.
• Work closely with transport teams and third-party hauliers to maintain delivery schedules.
• Support procurement activities, including contract and spot purchasing opportunities.
• Produce management information and commercial reports.
• Reconcile stock lines against ledger postings during month-end processes.
• Support supplier relationship management and contract compliance.
• Assist with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 audit preparation and compliance activities.
• Provide commercial recommendations relating to pricing and stock management.

What We're Looking For

• 1-2 years' experience within supply chain, logistics, procurement, stock control, inventory, planning, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
• Confident communicator with strong problem-solving skills.
• Commercially aware with the ability to think proactively and make recommendations.
• Experience with stock management, purchasing, or logistics operations would be advantageous.
