Role Overview:
My client is looking to appoint an experienced Survey Data Processor to join its established survey delivery team, supporting the processing and production of survey data collected from rail surveying projects.
This is a predominantly office-based position, focusing on the processing and interpretation of survey information rather than undertaking surveying activities on site. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing data collected by site-based surveyors, ensuring accurate survey deliverables are produced.
The role will involve processing traverse, levelling, GPS and topographical survey data, alongside registering point clouds, digitising information from point clouds and producing detailed technical survey reports.
A strong understanding of surveying methodologies and how data is collected on site is essential. Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous site-based surveying experience, providing them with a practical understanding of the surveying process before moving into a data processing position.
The company is looking for someone with at least two years of relevant delivery surveying experience who can join the team and quickly become familiar with its processes. This is not a trainee position, and candidates will need to demonstrate practical experience undertaking the core processing responsibilities.
You will be joining an established team consisting of a Delivery Manager, two Senior Delivery Surveyors, a Delivery Surveyor and a Trainee Surveyor. The business is open to appointing at either Delivery Surveyor or Senior Delivery Surveyor level, depending on the experience and capabilities of the successful candidate.
The position is ideally based at the company's office in Newton-le-Willows. Hybrid working may be available following probation, typically allowing a couple of days per week working from home. Fully remote working may also be considered for an exceptional candidate where regular office attendance is not practical.
There is a defined progression structure within the delivery team, with opportunities to develop from Delivery Surveyor to Senior Delivery Surveyor and subsequently Principal Delivery Surveyor. Longer-term progression into a Delivery Manager position may also be possible.
This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced rail surveying professional who enjoys the technical aspects of survey data processing and is looking to develop their career within an established delivery team.
