Due to continued investment within its Property Services function, the organisation is seeking an experienced Surveyor to play a key role in the delivery of responsive repairs, contractor management, voids, damp and mould investigations, and building defect diagnosis.

Description
- Specify, procure, and oversee responsive repair works, ensuring repairs are delivered to agreed standards and timescales.
- Manage repair and maintenance contracts, ensuring compliance with contract terms, budget requirements, and service standards.
- Oversee void property repairs and refurbishment works, reducing turnaround times and ensuring homes are ready for occupation.
- Undertake fire door inspections, identify remedial requirements, and carry out post-inspections to verify quality and compliance.
- Manage a varied caseload including damp and mould cases, disrepair claims, insurance-related works, and specialist repairs.
- Diagnose building defects using building pathology principles and recommend effective remedial solutions.
- Apply HHSRS principles to identify and assess Category 1 and Category 2 hazards.
- Monitor contractor performance through KPI reporting, quality inspections, and performance reviews.
- Approve repairs expenditure, verify completed works, and ensure accurate financial records are maintained.
- Support budget management and contribute to financial planning for repairs and maintenance services.
- Provide technical advice and support to colleagues, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Identify recurring maintenance issues and contribute to planned and preventative maintenance programmes.
- Assist with policy reviews, service improvements, and the development of best practice across property services.
- Act as deputy to the Responsive Repairs Manager when required.
- Participate in the out-of-hours emergency repairs rota, providing technical guidance and support where necessary.
Profile
- Experience managing repairs contracts and ensuring contractor compliance and performance.
- Strong experience diagnosing building defects and specifying remedial works.
- Experience dealing with damp and mould, disrepair cases, voids, and responsive repair services.
- Experience monitoring contractor performance, quality standards, and project costs.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with residents, contractors, and colleagues.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer focus and a commitment to delivering excellent resident outcomes.
- Confidence using property management, repairs, and IT systems.
Job Offer
- Salary of £56,436 - £59,574
