The Opportunity

Barnsley College is seeking an organised, proactive and customer-focused Teaching and Learning Administrator to join our Teaching and Learning team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting quality improvement and assurance processes across the College.

Working closely with the Teaching and Learning team, you will provide high-quality administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth operation of departmental activities.

The successful candidate will support the planning and preparation of Teaching and Learning events and whole college development days, maintain efficient systems and processes, and provide monitoring and tracking information to support department objectives.

The role also involves finance-related duties, including creating purchase orders, processing invoices and tracking expenditure, as well as supporting meetings through accurate minute taking and action tracking.

This position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative environment where your contribution will directly support the continuous improvement of teaching, learning and student success across the College.

About You

You will be an experienced administrator with excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.

You will be confident prioritising workloads, meeting deadlines and providing effective support to colleagues and customers.

You will have experience working in an administrative environment and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience of working with finance processes, including raising purchase orders and processing invoices, would be advantageous.

You will be an excellent communicator, capable of building positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required

  • Relevant Level 3 qualification
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent Level 2 qualification)
  • Relevant qualifications in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Experience in a clerical or administrative role
  • Experience of working within an educational environment
  • Experience working within finance, raising purchase orders and invoicing
