About the Role

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in helping children develop socially, emotionally, and academically. Working alongside experienced teachers, you'll create a positive, engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting children aged 3–5 in their learning and development.
• Assisting with phonics, early literacy, numeracy, and creative activities.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting children's wellbeing.
• Supporting children with additional learning needs where required.
• Helping prepare engaging classroom resources and learning activities.
• Monitoring progress and providing feedback to the class teacher.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Experience working with children in an Early Years setting (school, nursery, or childcare environment).
• A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for helping young children reach their full potential.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
