SEN Teaching Assistant - Behaviour Support & Learning MentorFull-Time | September 2026 Start | WolverhamptonAre you experienced in sports coaching, youth work, mentoring, support work, residential care, or working with young people who need additional support?Do you have the resilience, confidence, and emotional intelligence to help young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential?Hays Education is recruiting on behalf of a specialist secondary setting in Wolverhampton for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils aged 11-19 with a range of additional needs including Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Communication & Interaction needs, and associated behavioural challenges.The RoleYou will work closely with teaching staff to:

  • Support pupils in lessons and around the school environment.
  • Build positive relationships with young people.
  • Encourage engagement, motivation and independence.
  • Support behaviour regulation and emotional wellbeing.
  • Promote positive social interactions and communication skills.
  • Act as a positive role model throughout the school day.
