HLTA / Teaching Assistant – Specialist Provision (Cardiff CF14)
£120 per day | Full-Time | September Start
Are you passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and making a real difference in the classroom? We are seeking a confident, patient, and adaptable individual to join a specialist provision in Cardiff this September.
This is a full-time role for the academic year (with potential to extend to two years), offering a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who have complex needs in a supportive, well-resourced environment.
About the Role- Full-time position starting September for the full academic year (potential extension to 2 years)
- Working Monday to Friday, 08:15am – 3:15pm
- Based in Cardiff (CF14)
- Supporting small groups of around 10 pupils with complex needs within a specialised base
- Delivering and assisting with multi-sensory learning approaches, particularly in Maths and English
- Leading small group interventions and adapting learning to suit individual needs
- A confident and patient individual who can lead and support small groups effectively
- Experience working with pupils with additional needs, including learning difficulties and complex needs
- Ability to deliver targeted interventions and adapt teaching strategies
- Minimum of A-levels (or equivalent)
- Experience in primary or secondary settings (supporting pupils working at a primary level is desirable)
- HLTA qualification is highly desirable, though strong relevant experience will also be considered
- Experienced Teaching Assistants or HLTAs
- Individuals with a background in special educational needs (SEN)
- Aspiring teachers looking to gain valuable classroom and intervention experience
- Confident graduates or professionals comfortable leading small groups of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
