This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in temporary works, particularly scaffolding and edge protection, who can take responsibility for coordinating and overseeing temporary works activities across a large-scale construction site.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all temporary works are properly planned, coordinated, inspected and implemented safely, while bringing practical scaffolding knowledge to the project team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all temporary works activities across the project.

  • Oversee scaffolding, edge protection and other temporary access systems.

  • Ensure temporary works procedures, designs and installations comply with relevant standards and project requirements.

  • Review and coordinate temporary works designs, permits and associated documentation.

  • Liaise with site management, engineers, subcontractors and scaffolding teams to ensure safe and efficient delivery.

  • Monitor scaffolding and edge protection installations, ensuring they meet required safety and quality standards.

  • Carry out regular inspections and ensure any defects or non-compliances are addressed.

  • Maintain accurate temporary works registers and associated records.

  • Ensure compliance with the Temporary Works Procedure and relevant industry guidance.

Requirements

  • Valid Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) qualification/ticket – essential.

  • Previous experience working as a Temporary Works Coordinator on large-scale construction projects.

  • Strong practical experience with scaffolding and edge protection systems.

  • Previous scaffolding experience or a strong understanding of scaffolding installation and inspection.

  • Good knowledge of temporary works procedures, risk assessments and method statements.

  • Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and site teams.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

The Opportunity

  • Join a major, high-profile gigafactory development.

  • Work on a flagship project within the UK's advanced manufacturing sector.

  • Take responsibility for coordinating critical temporary works and scaffolding activities.

  • Become part of an experienced project delivery team.

  • Opportunity for long-term career development within a major construction project.

If you hold a valid TWC qualification and have hands-on scaffolding and edge protection experience, we'd be keen to hear from you.
