Timber Machinist l Yeovil | £13.50 per hour   Are you a practical, hands-on  Timber Machinist who takes pride in producing quality timber products?

As a Timber Machinist, your responsibilities will include:
  • Selecting appropriate timber boards to meet works orders
  • Operating sawing and machining equipment safely and accurately
  • Maximising yield from each piece of timber while minimising waste
  • Accurately tallying and recording production output
  • Stacking, banding, labelling, and presenting completed orders
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-organised work area
As a Timber Machinist, your experience will include:
  • Previous experience within a timber sawmill or Woodworking environment
  • Operating woodworking or timber machining equipment
  • A good standard of maths and spoken English
  • A disciplined, methodical, and quality-focused approach to work
  • Strong attention to detail under time pressure
  • A Forklift Licence or formal Timber Machining Qualification would be advantageous
