Location: Manchester
Salary: £18–£20 per hour
Shift: Monday to Friday, day shift
Hours: 6:00am start, finishing at either 2:00pm or 4:00pm
Workplace: Workshop-based

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Trailer Technician to join our workshop team in Manchester. This is a Monday-to-Friday, day-shift position starting at 6:00am, with a finish of either 2:00pm or 4:00pm, depending on the working rota and requirements.

The role offers £18–£20 per hour, depending on experience and skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, inspect, maintain and repair a range of trailers.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, braking and suspension faults.
• Repair and replace trailer components.
• Carry out welding and fabrication work where required.
• Complete safety inspections and identify defects.
• Ensure all repairs are completed to a high standard.
• Maintain accurate workshop and repair records.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Trailer Technician, Trailer Mechanic or similar.
• Good knowledge of trailer braking, suspension and running gear.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Welding and fabrication experience would be an advantage.
• Good attention to detail and a safety-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence would be beneficial.
