Transport and Logistics coordinator in Colnbrook

Our client is an established international organisation with operations across multiple locations, supporting customers through a complex, fast-moving logistics and operational environment.

They are looking for an organised and proactive Transport & Logistics Administrator to join their team and provide essential administrative and coordination support across transport, fleet and logistics activities.

This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy operational environment, managing multiple priorities and ensuring that vehicles, drivers and supporting logistics arrangements are effectively coordinated.

The Role You will provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support to the transport and logistics function, including:
  • Maintaining accurate driver compliance, vehicle and maintenance records
  • Liaising with drivers, depots, agencies and internal teams
  • Coordinating vehicle movements between regional locations
  • Booking agency drivers and arranging travel and accommodation
  • Updating and maintaining information across transport and job management systems
  • Monitoring transport-related expenditure, including agency, travel, fuel and vehicle costs
  • Supporting cost control and identifying opportunities to reduce unnecessary expenditure
  • Assisting with invoice reconciliation and resolving discrepancies
  • Producing regular reports and updates for the wider team
  • Supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the transport function
  • Assisting with process improvements and general administration as required
About You We are looking for someone who is:
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented
  • Proactive with a practical, can-do approach
  • Confident managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • A strong communicator, comfortable dealing with drivers, suppliers, agencies and internal stakeholders
  • Experienced in administration within a transport, logistics, fleet or operational environment
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Comfortable working with databases, transport systems or job management software
  • Commercially aware, with an understanding of monitoring and controlling costs
  • Flexible in their approach to working hours
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of service and accuracy
Experience with transport or fleet management systems would be advantageous, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
