Waking Night Support Worker

 

Earn £150 to £160 a night as a Waking Night Support Worker at Goldcrest Lodge, keeping children safe and settled until morning.

 

Working arrangements

Location: Goldcrest Lodge, Liphook, Hampshire

Salary / Pay: £150 to £160 per night, equivalent to approximately £15,600 to £16,640 per year pro rata based on 24 hours (2 nights per week), or £23,400 to £24,960 per year based on 36 hours (3 nights per week)

Shift Pattern: 7:00pm to 7:00am, part-time (24 or 36 hours), including some weekend work

Cherry Trees provides specialist, home-from-home care for children with complex disabilities across our two homes in Surrey and Hampshire, giving families a vital break, while helping children build confidence and independence.

 

What you'll be doing

Direct care
  • Carry out welfare checks throughout the night, at least every 15 minutes where required
  • Comfort and settle children who wake during the night
  • Follow care plans and medical guidance for each child
 

Household duties
  • Complete laundry and light food preparation as needed
  • Clean and maintain communal areas including toilets and floors
 

Records and handovers
  • Complete daily reports and record incidents or medication given
  • Hand over clearly to the day team each morning
 

What we're looking for
  • Caring, patient and reliable with strong communication skills
  • Able to stay calm under pressure during night shifts
  • Comfortable working independently overnight
  • Committed to safeguarding children and promoting their wellbeing
  • Experience in residential childcare desirable but not essential
  • Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one
