Waking Night Support Workers - Borehamwood

Mencap is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Waking Night Support Worker on a Part-time, permanent basis in Borehamwood.
In this role, you will make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with learning disabilities. You will support a diverse group of individuals, each with unique needs and abilities, providing both practical assistance and emotional support throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support with daily living activities
- Offer consistent emotional reassurance and care
- Promote independence and dignity at all times
- A genuine passion for supporting others
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- A flexible approach to working shifts, including weekends and holidays
- A positive, empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities
- Part-time: 20 hours per week
- Waking night shifts between 10:00pm and 7:00am
- Services operate 24 hours a day; rotas are provided at least four weeks in advance to support work-life balance

Mencap holds a Home Office sponsorship licence; however, due to current restrictions on our allocation of Certificates of Sponsorship, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. Applicants must therefore have the right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship.
