Our client is looking for an experienced Warehouse Administrator Operative to join their busy warehouse team in Bedfordshire.
This is a hands-on and varied role, combining warehouse administration, WMS operation and general warehouse duties. You will play an important role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring orders, stock, production and despatch operations are managed accurately and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment where accuracy, organisation and communication are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Release e-commerce orders for picking by the warehouse team.
- Print labels for production and pallet despatch.
- Organise and fulfil stock replenishments.
- Liaise with hauliers regarding daily collections.
- Act as a key point of contact for the warehouse team.
- Communicate effectively with other departments regarding deliveries, production and operational issues.
- Investigate and report stock discrepancies.
- Assist with picking and packing, maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Use handheld scanners for e-commerce, spares and production activities.
- Operate PPT equipment where required.
- Work closely with a tight-knit team of warehouse operatives and liaise with other departments across the business.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with company safety, quality and production standards.
- Undertake other reasonable duties as required by your line manager or the company's directors.
This role may involve working shifts to support operational requirements, including early mornings, evenings and potentially overnight shifts.
During peak periods, there may also be a requirement to annualise working hours, meaning additional hours may be worked during busy periods, with the opportunity to take time back during quieter periods. Flexibility is therefore essential to ensure continuous operational coverage throughout the year.
About YouWe are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident working within a busy warehouse environment.
You will ideally have:
- GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Previous experience working with a WMS – essential.
- Good computer literacy and confidence using warehouse systems.
- A valid PPT truck licence.
- Previous warehouse administration experience.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A positive, proactive and can-do attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across different departments.
- The flexibility to work varying shifts when required.
This is an active warehouse-based position and will involve:
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Lifting and moving stock.
- Bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching and stretching as required.
- Repetitive use and manual dexterity of both hands and wrists.
