Warehouse Supervisor

A manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee internal logistics and shop floor operations at a plant facility.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a key role in leading shop floor teams, managing inbound and outbound material flows, and embedding core logistics standards to ensure internal production needs are met efficiently and cost-effectively.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily inbound, outbound, and internal logistics activities on the shop floor.
Lead, train, and empower warehouse staff, ensuring full cross-training and adherence to standard operating procedures.
Implement and enforce core logistics standards (FIFO, labeling, traceability, stock transfers, and rack/pallet management).
Lead 5S activities and implement visual management tools across the shop floor.
Ensure accurate ERP transactions by end-users and address data adjustments or system modifications.
Proactively identify productivity gains to minimise stock handling effort and transport costs.
Diagnose operational bottlenecks, manage logistics risks, and foster a strong continuous improvement culture.
Experience
Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Supply Chain, or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or logistics environment, ideally in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of core logistics principles (5S, FIFO, stock optimisation, visual management).
Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office packages.
Background within the automotive manufacturing sector is highly desirable.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to manage shop floor teams effectively.
Working Hours & Shift Pattern
37.5 hours per week
Initial Pattern (until end of October): Day shift | 08:00 - 17:00
Subsequent Pattern (from November): Rotating 2-shift pattern

6-month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC)
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 (dependent on experience)
