Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be working with an international organisation that produces high-quality products within a safe, clean and flexible working environment.
We are supporting their search for an experienced Workshop Technician to join their team and play a key role in the rebuild, repair and maintenance of a range of mechanical components including the rebuild and repair of transmissions, gearboxes and axles.
Key Duties:
- Dismantle, inspect and reassemble transmissions, axles and final drive assemblies in accordance with pre-determined work instructions and specifications.
- Use inspection measuring and test equipment to determine component conformity and ensure product quality.
- Work on own initiative and as part of a team to solve work related technical problems.
- Use IT equipment to extract and record technical and logistical information including the creation of inspection reports and identification of required parts.
- Accountable for the correct and safe usage of tooling and equipment.
- Help promote the behaviors identified within the Companies culture.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the operations department.
- To undertake any other ad hoc duties within the operations function to support the effective running of the department.
Key Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in mechanical engineering/vehicle maintenance or similar would be preferred.
- Experience of working within the mechanical engineering industry.
- Proven problem solver.
- IT literate.
The Package:
- £27,000 - £34,000 per annum depending on experience.
- 39 per week, 07.00am - 15.30am Monday to Thursday, 07.00am - 14.30pm Friday. (Flexibility with hours)
