Year 1 Teacher – NG5

£150–£190 per day | Full-time | September start

Class Mate is looking for a Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in NG5. You’ll support pupils through an important stage of their education, building on their EYFS foundations while developing confidence in reading, writing and mathematics.

The Role

• Plan and deliver engaging Year 1 lessons
• Teach across the Year 1 National Curriculum
• Deliver and support effective phonics and early reading
• Assess and monitor pupil progress
• Adapt teaching for SEND and different abilities
• Establish positive behaviour and classroom routines

We're Looking For

• QTS or a recognised UK teaching qualification
• Year 1 or KS1 teaching experience
• Strong knowledge of phonics and early reading
• Effective classroom and behaviour management
• Ability to support pupils with different needs
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
