This role would suit someone with proven energy sector experience who thrives on creating new opportunities and building meaningful commercial relationships. You'll be commercially driven, confident operating in the market and comfortable engaging senior decision-makers to support sustainable business growth.

Who we are

LASER Energy's mission is to deliver unique end-to-end solutions that help reduce energy costs and support the public sector on their journey to net zero.

As the leading provider of decarbonisation and energy services to the public sector, our goal is to always push the boundaries; we’ll explore new solutions and technologies to make sure the journey to net zero grows ever-greener and always more efficient – for us and our customers. All the while we strive to deliver on our goals, we also recognise how important it is to create an inviting, colourful place for our employees to work.

  • Identifying, targeting and securing new customers across key public sector markets.

  • Building and maintaining senior stakeholder relationships to strengthen market presence and generate new opportunities.

  • Representing LASER Energy at industry events, sector forums and customer engagements.

  • Leading the identification and prioritisation of target markets, sectors and strategic accounts.

  • Managing the early stages of the sales lifecycle, including prospecting, qualification and opportunity development.

  • Working collaboratively with marketing, commercial and bid teams to maximise lead generation and conversion activity.

  • Using market intelligence, customer insight and performance data to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Driving team performance through effective KPI management, forecasting and pipeline reporting.

  • Providing leadership and direction to the Business Development function to support the achievement of growth targets.

  • Contributing to wider commercial strategy and continuous improvement initiatives across the Sales and Marketing function.

What we’re looking for
  • Proven experience generating new business opportunities within the energy sector.

  • Strong understanding of energy markets, customers and commercial drivers.

  • Experience developing and managing successful sales pipelines.

  • A track record of achieving revenue, margin or growth targets.

  • The ability to build credibility and strong relationships with senior stakeholders.

  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify high-value opportunities.

  • Experience using KPIs, performance metrics and CRM systems to drive results.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and networking skills.

  • Confidence working independently and representing a business externally.

  • Public sector knowledge would be advantageous, although not essential.

  • A resilient, proactive and solutions-focused approach.

  • The ability to turn market opportunities into tangible business outcomes.

What you’ll get in return
  • Salary of £65,000 per annum + bonus scheme and car allowance.

  • 25 days annual leave, rising to 27 after four years.

  • Birthday Day Off.

  • One concessionary day during the Christmas period.

  • Pension scheme with 6% employer contribution.

  • Life assurance cover.
