Are you a qualified PE Teacher with experience delivering girls' Physical Education and looking for teaching opportunities across North Birmingham?
Aspire People is expanding its network of Physical Education specialists to support secondary schools across Erdington, Sutton Coldfield, Aston, Perry Barr, Great Barr and the surrounding areas.
We are particularly interested in teachers who can deliver engaging practical lessons, manage behaviour confidently and encourage pupils to develop their confidence, teamwork and physical skills.
Whether you're an experienced PE Teacher seeking flexible supply work, an ECT looking to develop your experience or a specialist interested in longer-term teaching assignments, we'd like to hear from you.
WHAT OPPORTUNITIES ARE WE RECRUITING FOR?
We are building our candidate pool for future daily supply, short-term cover, regular weekly bookings and longer-term PE teaching assignments.
Depending on the school and placement, responsibilities may include:
- Delivering practical Physical Education lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Teaching a range of sports, games, fitness activities and physical skills.
- Delivering girls' PE lessons and encouraging positive participation.
- Supporting GCSE PE theory and practical components where appropriate.
- Establishing clear expectations and managing behaviour confidently in practical environments.
- Maintaining appropriate health and safety standards during lessons.
- Adapting activities to support pupils with different abilities and additional learning needs.
- Supporting extracurricular sport and wider school activities where required.
For longer-term assignments, planning, marking, assessment and additional departmental responsibilities may be required.
These are prospective opportunities across North Birmingham rather than a confirmed vacancy at one specific school.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are interested in teachers who have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
- Experience teaching Physical Education within a secondary school.
- Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 PE curriculum.
- Experience delivering girls' PE and encouraging positive participation.
- Effective behaviour management and the confidence to lead practical lessons.
- The ability to adapt activities for mixed-ability groups, including SEND pupils.
- A professional, reliable and adaptable approach.
Applications are welcomed from experienced PE Teachers and Early Career Teachers.
Experience teaching GCSE PE would be particularly valuable for relevant assignments.
