- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for structural steel projects.
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine scope and pricing.
- Liaise with engineers, architects, and clients to clarify project requirements.
- Source subcontractor and supplier quotations and evaluate pricing competitiveness.
- Prepare bills of quantities and cost plans.
- Monitor project costs and variations during construction phase.
- Assist in contract administration and final account preparation.
- Support project teams with commercial advice and cost control strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of all estimating data and project cost history.
Key Skills & Experience
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or related discipline.
- Experience in structural steel fabrication or construction sector preferred.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
