Children's Social Worker Opportunity – Derbyshire County Council

SW Locums is recruiting an experienced Children's Social Worker to join Derbyshire County Council's Child Protection Team. About the Role

You will join the Area Child Protection Team, managing a varied caseload that includes:

• Assessments

• Child in Need (CIN)

• Child Protection

• Court Work

• CRE Work

Working closely with children, families, and partner agencies, you will play a key role in safeguarding children and ensuring positive outcomes through effective assessment, planning, and intervention.

Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker

• Registered with Social Work England

• Previous experience within Children's Services

• Experience managing Child Protection and Child in Need cases

• Confident completing assessments, court work, and statutory interventions

• Excellent assessment, communication, and report-writing skills
